How To Save A Life
By The Fray

So it's been awhile. Quick update.

School...semester is OVER! I have finals next week and a week of spring term where we take one class...no biggie. But technically school is over forever! My level 2 fieldwork starts June 26th so I'll get a little break before then.

Vacation...I'm going to San Fransisco with my family in a month! I really loved southern Cali so I'm excited to see what the northern part is like. Possible going to Colorado in June.

Work...still at Smokey Bones...not a whole lot more to say about that.

Relationship status...still single...no prospects...need I say more?!?

Other than that, nothing exciting is going on. I am starting to look for jobs to get an idea of what's available and where I'd like to work once I'm done. Jury is still out on all of that...I'll keep you posted.

OK time to stop procrastinating...gotta go study! Later Friends!

Spring break is over and I am sad. Also, I woke up this morning to 4 inches of snow...and it's the first day of spring. This week could have started off better!

Home for the weekend.

Tonight little Madison came over. She is getting so big and moving around so much. It's amazing how much she changes from each time I come home. I was going to post a picture of her on here but that didn't work out so much. She's so cute...I LOVE being an aunt!

Tomorrow I go with my oldest, very first friend to look for wedding dresses. I'm excited cause this is the first wedding for my group of X-town girls. It's kinda sad too because it means we're growing up!  I'll be taking pictures and hope to have those posted soon. I am the maid of honor and I'm starting to get a bit stressed out...not because I have to help her do things along the way or plan the bachelorette party....no, I am stressed because I have to give a toast in front of everyone at the reception! If anyone has any advice for me I will gladly take it.

On another note: school stinks. I am so stressed out and overwhelmed by everything right now. I feel like I'm behind in every class. I don't know what the deal is this semester...I thought it would be one of the easier semester since it is the last one but I was very wrong. Plus, I am at that stage where I am burnt out with school and just ready to be done so I can move forward with my life. I need your prayers to help get me through these next 2.5 months.

OK that's it for tonight.

I have a way of forgetting that I'm a member of the community known as Xangaland and I appologize to anyone who feels "out of the loop" with all the action and excitement that is typical of my life.

Well to get everyone caught up here is a short run through of my life this past month (or so):

  • I went home for cmas break (3 weeks) where I went back to work at Bob's (no comment necessary). I got to hang out with my girls, play with my cute niece, spend time with my family. There was NO SNOW the entire time I was home which really bummed me out.
  • I went to Jamie and Heather's for New Year's Eve and got to see a bunch of my Toledo peeps.
  • Stayed with my friend Sherrie and her family in Kokomo, IN for a week while I did a clinical at a hospital there. (I was in the psych unit of that hospital...if you want to know about it just ask)
  • Back to school on the 16th of January (last semester of grad school...Praise the Lord!)
  • Linsey Matson got engaged on her Birthday (January 13th)!!!
  • Sherrie and I decided to go to Nashville, TN for spring break and to COSI (cause Sherrie really wants to go, I'm just being nice and going w/ her )
  • I got to go hiking with Lindsay and Scott last weekend.
  • Now I'm finishing up a clinical where I'm in the school system (and I like it a lot!)

So as you can tell, my life is so exciting. Kidding. Things are hectic with school already and I'm just finishing up the 3rd week...makes me nervous about the next 13 weeks. Pray for me, please. OK with that thought in mind I need to start doing something productive. Lata.

OK Candi "tagged" me to play this game so here it goes.

Ground Rules: The First player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 weird habits of yourself", and people who get tagged need to write a Xanga entry about their 5 weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says, "You are tagged" in their Xanga and tell them to read yours

KATIE'S 5 WEIRD HABITS

1.  When I put butter/jelly/cream cheese on bread I have to make sure that it is evenly spread over the entire piece and definitely in the corners...probably why I'm such a slow eater!

2.  I can't do just 1 load of laundry. If the laundry room is piled up I have to do it all. I will only leave a few items behind by the time I'm through. I hate sorting it all though!

3.  The seam of my socks has to go straight across my toes. If it moves sideways at all it makes me cringe. If I see someone who's socks are twisted or are half off their feet I can't look cause it gets to me.

4.  Before I flush the toilet I have to put the seat cover down. If I'm in a public place with no seat cover I have to turn my back as soon as I flush...WHY? Because when you flush the toilet, the rush of water causes particles of things to shoot out (you can figure out what) and it grosses me out to think of that stuff going any where near me!

5.  OK so I'm in favor of generic brand food items but there are certain things that must be consumed under their original labels: Campell's chicken and noodle soup, JIF peanut butter, Cheerios, Hidden Valley Ranch dressing (I'm working on this one)...there is like one ingredient or something that is off in all of their generic friends and I don't want any part of it!

6.  I just thought of one more. When I get pictures developed, I have to be the first person to look at them. I can't stand when someone tries to take my pictures to look at them before me cause I want to be able to experience them first and then be able to tell people about them.

OK that's enough of the weird stuff about me. How about YOU?!? I'm supposed to "tag" 5 new people to do this. I really don't know who that will be...whoever sees this and feels the inclination to do so. (Linsey, Cindy, Natalie, Ellen)

More later...don't feel like giving a full update right at the moment
